Summary
[edit]DescriptionPluto Fast Flyby.jpg |
English: The final unexplored frontier in the solar system, Pluto and its satellite Charon could be visited by a robotic flyby mission as early as 2006. This low-cost mission would take advantage of both existing hardware and new advanced technologies to develop a lightweight autonomous spacecraft. With a focused science payload, the mission can reach the Pluto system on a fast direct trajectory while Pluto’s atmosphere is still active during its current perihelion passage inside the orbit of Neptune. |
