English: A U.S. Marine with Black Sea Rotational Force 16.2 marks hits and misses on an unknown distance sniper range during Exercise Platinum Lynx 16.5 in Babadag Training Area, Romania, Sept. 23, 2016. Platinum Lynx 16.5 allows Marines from units across the globe, including the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines and a Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team based out of Spain, to train alongside partner nations in the Black Sea, Balkan, and Caucasus regions. Black Sea Rotational Force is an annual multilateral security cooperation activity between the U.S. Marine Corps and partner nations in the Black Sea, Balkan and Caucasus regions designed to enhance participants’ collective professional military capacity, promote regional stability and build enduring relationships with partner nations.
