Description
English: This setup consists of a HD-S (high speed green) phosphor screen, and a 90kV, 15 milliamp real X-ray tube with a 1.5 amp 12 volt hot cathode.

I took the photo running the tube at 60kV and around 2 milliamps. The exposure took 30 seconds, and the green phosphor shadow was post-processed to turn it into the more recognisable negative cyan X-ray transparency.

I use an old 20D camera because X-rays DO in fact damage CCD's as I found an increasing number of hot pixels on my new camera when I first started making X-ray images.
