Description
Français : Plaque apposée place de l'École-Militaire, Paris 7e.
Le 12 décembre 1941, la police militaire allemande, assistée de la police française, a arrêté 743 personnalités juives françaises, en majorité anciens combattants et professions libérales, et les a regroupées dans le manège « Commandant Bossus » de l'École militaire. Les 743 ont été internés dans le camp allemand de Royallieu à Compiègne, où certains sont morts de faim et de froid. Le 27 mars 1942, la plupart des 743 ont été déportés par le premier convoi parti de France à destination d'Auschwitz, où ils ont été assassinés. N'oublions pas ces victimes de la haine raciale.
