Description
Español: Desde 2012 está en marcha en el complejo onubense de Ence la planta de generación de energía con biomasa de 50 MW, la más importante de España y una de las principales de Europa. La planta consume unas 500.000 toneladas de biomasa al año para producir 180 toneladas/hora de vapor a 100 bares de presión y 500ºC de temperatura, y que es la energía térmica que permite a la turbina producir más de 400 millones de kWh/año. Huelva 50 MW ha sido construida con las Mejores Técnicas Disponibles recomendadas por la UE para el transporte, almacenamiento y producción de energía con biomasa. Entre estas técnicas está el sistema de reducción selectiva no catalítica, que permite reducir emisiones de óxido de nitrógeno. La apuesta por la tecnología de lecho fluido para la caldera, el uso de gas natural como combustible auxiliar para operaciones puntuales, o la incorporación de un eficaz precipitador electroestático para la captación de gases de combustión a la salida de la caldera también permiten a Ence cumplir con su objetivo de minimizar el impacto ambiental de sus operaciones.
