Fig. 8 A machine for production-grade work at surface planing and thicknessing. Cutter head is of large diameter, balanced, uses high-speed steel cutters and runs at 9,000 rpm. The thicknessing feed rate is variable through a gearbox, to 25, 40 or 60 feet per minute, adjustable when moving. The tables are 6 feet long overall. |
