English: Belgian percussion horse or belt pistol, used during 19th century large smoothbore percussion holster pistol; muzzle-loading; 9 inch barrel; percussion locks; swivel rammer (captive ramrod); three-quarter stocked; brass furniture; nipple corroded and damaged; large split in forestock at ramrod entry; extensive borer missing- hammer markings- in oval on top rear of barrel- Belgian (Liege) former definitive proof marks- E - LG - (star) right rear of barrel- 97 small lock maker's mark on lock plate- (crown) - R maker- unknown ( Belgian gun trade) measurements- overall- 380 mm; barrel- 210mm; calibre- 18 mm (.70 inches)
