Català: Decoració mural
El 1954 es van descobrir importants restes de decoració mural a l’interior de l’església, que ara s’han arrencat i es guarden en unes sales annexes de l’antic monestir. Són obra del segle XIV. Es conserven dos grans plafons, el primer amb Escenes de la Vida de Crist i el segon amb les corresponents a la Vida de Sant Agustí. Entre aquestes composicions es situava un gran Pantocràtor. Hi ha altres fragments menors: un amb un Àngel de l’Anunciació, el segon molt deteriorat, amb un Sant Jordi i el drac, i el tercer, de difícil identificació, amb dos Personatges davant d’un altar sota l’escut dels Serra, potser relacionats amb la família dels donants, que no llueixen nimbe. En diversos espais dels murals es veuen escuts de la família Serra. Cal tenir el compte que un tal Ponç sa Serra fou prior del monestir entre el 1348 i 1372, el que fa pensar que la realització de l’obra tingués alguna relació amb ell. |
