Description
English: IWM caption : Pilot Officer C E "Cas" Casbolt of No. 250 Squadron RAF, at LG 91, Egypt. Casbolt joined the RAF in 1937, qualifying as a sergeant pilot before joining No. 80 Squadron RAF in 1938. He saw action with the Squadron in the Western Desert and in Greece, scoring victories in the Gloster Gladiator and Hawker Hurricane, before being rested after 80 Squadron's withdrawal from Greece in 1941. He was commissioned and then joined No. 250 Squadron, with whom he achieved the last of his 14 confirmed victories on 12 May 1942.
