Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_68791_20200624_184459.jpg Notes: בית הבטון הוא בית משאבות בן שתי קומות שנמצא במקורות הירקון סמוך לכפר הבפטיסטים. נקרא כך כי בבנייתו נעשה השימוש הראשון בבטון בארץ ישראל. המבנה נבנה ב 1912 על ידי חברת quotפלשתינהquot בבעלותו של בצלאל יפה על מנת לספק מים לפרדסי המושבה פתח תקווה והסביבה.חידוש נוסף בבית הבטון מלבד השימוש בבטון היו המשאבות הצנטריפוגליות ומנועי הדיזל החדשים אותם הביא לארץ ישראל נתן שיפריס עובד החברה.לאחר מותו של בצלאל יפה נמכר המבנה לחברת quotירקוןquot שהייתה בבעלות quotחברת החשמל אquotיquot. הבית היה פעיל עד שנות ה-70 .ויקיפדיה
