Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_63423_IMG_20200117_163151.jpg Notes: קומראן, יישובם העיקרי של אנשי כת ים המלח בתקופת בית שני (אולי האיסיים?). בשנת 1946 נחשפו באקראי במערה סמוכה, על ידי נער בדואי, כדי חרס ובתוכם כתבי יד, תגלית שהובילה לגילוי כ 900 כתבי יד נוספים במערות סמוכות, כחלק מתגלית מגילות ים המלח, המתוארכות ע”י החוקרים למאה השנייה לפנה”ס.

The Pikiwiki Project is managed from 2021 by the "Heritage Stones" group.
