Description

Physcia clementei (Sm.) Lynge

Image location: Carnaxide, Oeiras, Portugal

According to the reference given this non-ciliate species differs from the similar P. aipolia among others in the chemistry and in the dimensions of the spores. I obtained the following the following values for the spores: (14.5) 15.6 – 20.5 (23.8) x (6.5) 7.2 – 8.4 (9.2) µm Q = (1.9) 2 – 2.6 (3.4) ; N = 37 Me = 18.3 × 7.7 µm ; Qe = 2.4.
