Description
Italiano: Lettera autografa di Petrarca "Papiae 20 juni ad vesperam raptim" all'amico Moggio di Parma (Modius de Modiis) conservata alla Biblioteca Laurenziana di Firenze, in cui c'è un preciso riferimento ad "Infernum". Moggio de' Moggi, clericus, magister, e notarius era amico del Petrarca. Nella lettera Petrarca scrive:

aliquot dies, si dabitur, tranquillos rure acturus, cuius ethimologiam tibi committo. Ego quidem Infernum dicere solèo

se sarà possibile, trascorrerò alcuni giorni tranquilli in campagna, di cui ti allego l’etimologia. Veramente, sono solito chiamarla Infernum
