Description

Minister-president Rutte, fractievoorzitter Roemer van de Socialistische Partij (SP) en fractievoorzitter Cohen van de Partij van de Arbeid (PvdA) staan na afloop van hun bezoek aan de Diamant-groep de pers te woord.

De Diamant-groep is een leer-werkbedrijf voor mensen met afstand tot de arbeidsmarkt. Aansluitend reizen minister-president Rutte, SP-fractievoorzitter Roemer en PvdA-fractievoorzitter Cohen door naar tuindersbedrijf Gebroeders van Oirschot Tuinplanten. Hier werken enkelen van de drieduizend mensen die met hulp van de Diamant-groep aan de slag zijn.

Het idee voor dit werkbezoek ontstond tijdens een aantal debatten in de Tweede Kamer. Rutte, Roemer en Cohen spraken toen af om gezamenlijk een bezoek te brengen aan een sociale werkvoorziening in Nederland.

Het programma bij de Diamant-groep start met een gesprek met verantwoordelijk wethouder Hamming en algemeen directeur Bool. Daarna wordt een bezoek gebracht aan enkele werknemers in de drukkerij van de Diamant-groep. Bij Gebroeders van Oirschot Tuinplanten spreken Rutte, Roemer en Cohen met de directie en werknemers over de praktijkervaringen met wetgeving rond sociale werkvoorziening en arbeidsondersteuning.
