Перец Давидович Маркиш (7 декабря 1895 — 12 августа 1952) — советский еврейский поэт и писатель, сочинявший на идише. В 1939 году стал единственным из советских еврейских писателей кавалером ордена Ленина.

В ночь с 27 на 28 января 1949 года он был арестован как член президиума Еврейского Антифашистского комитета. После пыток, истязаний и тайного суда 12 августа 1952 года он был расстрелян. Посмертно реабилитирован 22 ноября 1955 года. Место захоронения праха — Новое Донское кладбище в Москве.
