Description
English: Pentecost (1542), by Diogo de Contreiras. The painting was part of a series of four that belonged to the female Cistercian convent of Santa Maria de Almoster (this one, together with "Saint Benedict and Saint Bernard", "Ressurrection" and a lost "Adoration of the Shepherds").
