Summary
[edit]DescriptionPenrhos, Maenclochog - geograph.org.uk - 579952.jpg |
English: Penrhos, Maenclochog Until the last occupant died in 1968 this was the last inhabited thatched cottage in Pembrokeshire, and it and its contents remain as they were then. The thatched part is a two-room cottage, a rebuilding of the mud-walled type that was built overnight on roadside waste. The extension provided a bedroom. The outhouse beyond the driveway to Blaen-sawd was probably a scullery and wash-house, and is now the toilet. Viewing is by appointment with the museums department at Scolton Manor. |
