Description
English: Pencil drawing "Ruins of Piquot Castle Carondelet" by A.B. Greene. Greene was a late 19th century commercial artist from St. Louis who specialized in ink and pencil drawings of architecture, landscapes, and portraits. This drawing depicts the ruins of Louis G. Picot’s 19th century Rhenish style castle in Carondelet. Known as Picot's Castle, the house had a large four-story central tower, draw bridge, and dungeon. The house was destroyed following the Civil War.
