Description Pȁlȁne Vajirañāna Mahanayaka Thero was a Sri Lankan scholar Buddhist monk, who founded the renowned Siri Vajirārāmaya temple in Bambalapitiya, Sri Lanka. He was also the Maha Nayaka of Amarapura Sri Dharmarakshita sect for 37 years .
