English: Pelaw Metro station, Tyne and Wear A station was originally opened on this site in 1843, but was moved in 1857. It was reopened on this site in 1896 by the North Eastern Railway on the line from Newcastle to Sunderland, and was converted to Metro operation in 1985. View east towards Springwell and Sunderland, also the Metro line to Hebburn and South Shields. |
