| Description |
English: Limestone quarries at Peak Forest and view up Great Rocks Dale, 1963 View northward over Peak Forest Junction, where the loop line to Buxton (below, left) left the ex-Midland main line from Manchester via Chinley (upper left) through (right) to Derby via Millers Dale and Matlock, all being closed 6/3/67. Even 20 years later (see SK1172 : View over Cheedale) all this had largely reverted to nature. |
