English: Mountain hare on Yellow Slacks, Peak District, Derbyshire. As winter approaches, the mountain hare changes its colour from brown to white. Their favourite areas are amongst the rocky outcrops facing the afternoon sun. They are very timid and difficult to photograph close up. |
