English: President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo witnesses the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and exchange of documents between Malaysia’s Multimedia Corporation and the Department of Trade and Industry during ceremonies at the Malaysia and Philippine Business Forum at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur Wednesday (August 8). The MOU, which concerns a study on the feasibility of implementing the national multi-purpose smart card concept in the Philippines, was signed by Tan Sri Dato Dr. Othman Yeop Abdullah, executive chairman of the Multimedia Corp., and DTI Secretary Manuel Roxas II. |
