Description
Italiano: Per l'estrazione di un olio da una piccola quantità di semi si opera in questo modo. Semi macinati vengono posti in un'allunga C sopra un pezzo di carta da filtro. Nel pallone inferiore vi è etere etilico scaldato a bagnomaria a 40°C. L'etere sale dal tubo laterale, si condensa in B e ricade sui semi. Il tubo a bolle A serve da manometro per regolare la pressione; il tubo D è per controllare il bagnomaria. Il pallone B può essere raffreddato con carta bagnata. L'olio estratto si accumula nel pallone sottostante C, disciolto nell'etere.
English: Extraction of oil from a small amount of seeds. Crushed seeds are placed in the tube C over a piece of filter paper. The bottom flask is filled with diethyl ether, heated to 40°C over a water bath. The ether rises through the side pipe, condenses in B and drops on the seeds, extracting the oil. Tube A serves as a manometer, tube D regulates the water bath. Flask B can be cooled with some soaked paper. The oil is collected in the bottom flask, dissolved in ether.
