English: In this picture is a cup of Nigerian traditional herb made from Pawpaw( Carica papaya) leaves. It is made by boiling pawpaw leaves for about 15-20 minutes. It is used for the cure and treatment of malaria, typhoid, diabetes,high blood sugar, menstrual pains and skin problem. It also reduces cancer risks. The leaves also contain active components such as papin, chymopapin
cystain, ascorbic acid, flavournoids, cynogenic glucosides that increases the total antioxidant power in blood and reduce lipid preoxidation level.Igbo: N'ihe osise a bụ otu iko ahịhịa ọdịnala Naijiria nke sitere na akwụkwọ Pawpaw( Carica pọọpọ).
