Description
Deutsch: Paulys Realencyclopädie der classischen Altertumswissenschaft (Neue Bearbeitung, begonnen von Georg Wissowa), erschienen von 1893 bis 1980 in 66 Halbbänden, 15 Supplementbänden und einem Generalregister, füllt ein Bücherregal. Aufnahme aus der Bibliothek des Seminars für Klassische Philologie der Universität Göttingen. Rechts unten die 8 Teilbände des Vorgängerwerks, der Real-Encyclopädie der classischen Alterthumswissenschaft in alphabetischer Ordnung (1837–1864).
English: The Realencyclopädie (RE, 1893–1980) fills an entire bookcase in the library of the University of Göttingen's Seminar for Classical Philology. At the lower right are eight volumes of the encyclopedia's earlier edition (1837–1864).
