| Description |
English: Eastwards up the main line from South Wales to Patchway station, with Down empties. On the busy main line out of the Severn Tunnel towards Filton Junction, then east to Swindon etc., south to Bristol etc. and north to Gloucester etc. A typical Class F empties is heading for the Tunnel down the long bank, with Churchward '4200' class 2-8-0T No. 4227 (built 11/1913, withdrawn 2/65). The separte line on the left is the easier-graded Up line out of Patchway New Tunnel. (See also ST6081 : Penzance - Swansea express beyond Patchway station and other scenes here) |
