[edit]DescriptionPastry Iron used by the Original Cone and Candy Company.jpg |
English: Cast aluminum rosette iron, used for deep-frying pastry. This item was used by the Original Cone & Candy Company on Walnut Street in St. Louis. Gabriel Sakakeeny came to the United States from Syria in the late 1800s, and according to family stories, he had a candy stand at the 1904 World's Fair. One year later he opened the Original Cone & Candy Company, manufacturing candies and ice cream cones. Title: Pastry Iron used by the Original Cone and Candy Company |
