Monumentos Históricos

Las iglesias de La Asunción en la villa Donato Guerra; la de San Martín Obispo, San Simón de la Laguna, San Francisco Mihualtepec, San Miguel Xooltepec y San Juan Xoconusco, son monumentos de herencia colonial. La iglesia de La Asunción fue la primera edificación católica cuya construcción inició en los años de 1548-1550, para convertirse en la cabecera de la congregación religiosa de Malacatepec, región que comprendía los pueblos que hoy integran los municipios de Donato Guerra y Villa de Allende. Los cascos de las exhaciendas La Asunción y El Molino San Felipe Neri, son testimonio vigente de la iglesia colonial que al igual que las construcciones del centro de la villa Donato Guerra, debemos apreciarlas como monumentos históricos.

Fiestas, Danzas y Tradiciones

Las principales fiestas para la convivencia, esparcimiento e integración social, se dedican en honor a los santos patronos de las comunidades y a los hechos relevantes de la vida municipal, en ellas se expresa la hospitalidad y las atenciones para familiares y visitantes, ofreciendo diferentes platillos y bebidas tradicionales.
