Português: A arara-azul apresenta comportamento monogâmico, com formação de casais que permanecem unidos até mesmo fora da estação reprodutiva. Esses pares dividem tarefas entre si, como o cuidado com o filhote e com o ninho. De acordo com a Lista Vermelha da União Internacional para a Conservação da Natureza (UICN / IUCN), a arara-azul é considerada uma espécie vulnerável.
English: The hyacinth macaw presents monogamous behavior, forming couples that remain together even outside the breeding season. These pairs share tasks among themselves, such as taking care of the chick and the nest. According to the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN/IUCN), the hyacinth macaw is considered a vulnerable species.
