中文：正在興建中的蘇格蘭國會大樓，愛丁堡，蘇格蘭

根據1997年一場公投決議，1998年時英國政府通過蘇格蘭法案，宣布要讓解散了300年之久的蘇格蘭國會再次成立。全新的蘇格蘭國會大樓位於蘇格蘭首府愛丁堡舊城的南區，因為開工之後工程進度一直延宕，原本預計要在2004年啟用的該大樓幾經波折（負責設計的建築師突然過世，因為大雨造成淹水），建造預算因此大幅超過當初估計達十倍程度而飽受批評。

相對於愛丁堡舊城古色古香的市容，由已故西班牙建築師米拉耶斯(Enric Miralles，巴塞隆納奧運運動場的設計者)構圖、造型非常現代化的國會大樓，顯得有點特殊或甚至格格不入的感覺。

照片中看到的，是從愛丁堡最重要的核心道路皇家一哩(The Royal Mile)南段、加農門街(Canongate St.)上望去的新國會背面。
