This medallion was issued after 1919, when the first Pacific Locomotives Model 231 were delivered from USA to the Compagnie du Chemin de Fer du Nord . The 231 Locomotive was called the Pacific because the very first one of that series was sold to New Zealand Railways in 1901.http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_(locomotive)
