Description
English: Apollonius of Perga introduced the name "parabola" after he derived the connection of each point on a parabola with a square and rectangle of equal areas. Here we take a "school parabola" y=x2 and illustrate the connection mentioned above. Coordinate axes are shown only for convenience.
