Description
English: poplar avenue of the shooting range of the SS at Concentration camp Dachau
Deutsch: Pappelallee (Zufahrt) des SS-Schiessplatzes des KZ Dachau - Der ehemalige SS-Schießplatz Hebertshausen auf dem Gemeindegebiet von Dachau ist ein bedeutsamer historischer Ort für Bayern, der untrennbar mit den Verbrechen im KZ-Dachau verbunden ist. Der systematische Massenmord an über 4000 sowjetischen Kriegsgefangenen auf dem Schießplatz stellt eines der schlimmsten Verbrechen der Naziherrschaft in Bayern dar, über das bisher wenig geforscht und veröffentlicht worden ist. Entsprechend gering war bisher auch das Wissen um die genauen Vorgänge der sogenannten "Aussonderungen", wie diese Verbrechen verschleiernd bezeichnet wurden. Auch die bisherige Ausstellung in der KZ-Gedenkstätte Dachau geht nur sehr allgemein auf dieses dunkle Kapitel ein.
