Summary
[edit]DescriptionPanels at the rear of Brangwyn Hall - geograph.org.uk - 1491172.jpg |
English: Panels at the rear of Brangwyn Hall Frank Brangwyn painted 16 panels commissioned for the House of Lords. When they were rejected for being too colourful, Swansea incorporated them into the building of the Guildhall and renamed the assembly room to the "Brangwyn Hall".
Here you can see a 17th panel just above the doorway which was painted especially to fill the gap. The panels depict the people, flora and fauna of the empire in a bright and fantastic collage. |
