Description
English: Church of the Panagia Katapoliani ("in the Down town"), in the old centre of Katapola, on Amorgos. The church has built-in ancient parts and marble relief architectural elements. It was built in the position of the early-Christian basilica, built upon an ancient temple of Apollo. (Excavational research of Mrs Lila Marangou.)
Čeština: Kostel Panagia Katapoliani ("na Dolním městě"), ve starém centru Katapole, na Amorgu. Kostel obsahuje starší architektonické prvky a mramorové reliéfy. Byl postaven na místě raně křesťanské baziliky postavené na starém chrámu Apolla. (Exkavační výzkum paní Lily Marangou.)
