Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Pedigree Roll of the Palmes family of Naburn & Lindley. It can be dated to "early 17th century" by an entry on the bottom line, namely the marriage circa 1596 of Sir Henry Wallop (1568-1642) and Elizabeth Corbet. The Corbet shield 7th from top shows Corbet impaling "Vernon of Derbyshire" shown (apparently incorrectly) as Argent, on a bend azure three garbs or; the arms of Vernon of Shipbrook, Cheshire are similar, namely: Or, on a fess azure three garbs of the field. The arms of Vernon of Haddon in Derbyshire are: Azure, a fret sable.
