Description
Français : Autres titres : Palais de justice de Rimouski, 183, avenue de la Cathédrale, Rimouski. Description : Le premier bâtiment est construit entre 1859 et 1862, il comprend un palais de justice et une prison. Un incendie le détruit en 1897. Le deuxième palais de justice, de style néoclassique, est construit au même endroit. Lors de l'incendie de 1950, le palais de justice est presque détruit mais la prison est épargnée. Le bâtiment actuel est alors construit selon les plans de l'architecte Maurice Mainguy. L'extérieur sobre est un bon exemple de l'architecture institutionnel des années 1950.
