Description

Paeonia 'Scrumdidleyumptious' 5/2021 Itoh- (Smith, 2002) (3-SD-WH) Itoh Intersectional Peony, Mature size: 28", Medium height, double, pink petals, green carp, yellow stigmas, midseason bloomer, USDA Hardiness Zone 3-8, Michigan Bloom Month 5-7, In Garden Bed N1,01 for 33 MONTHS (Solaris). Planted in 2018.

Bred by Donald Smith, West Newton, MA 2002. This particular hybrid is a cross of P. lactiflora 'Martha W.' x P. suffruticosa 'Golden Era'. Smith introduced 46 Itoh Intersectionals between 2002-2006. Some of the most well known Itoh Intersectionalizers in the United States include Roger Anderson, Don Hollingsworth, Donald Smith and Irene Tolomeo. Did not have developed roots when I moved from GH>N1. Is probably true to name, initial bloom is not a positive ID.

2020 note; does not appear to be true to name. Top leaves suffered brown out.
