Woodcut illustration from an edition of 1726 (4th year of the Yongzheng reign period of the Qing dynasty) -- paediatric complexion diagnosis chart, showing the significance of each of the sectors of the face.The left cheek corresponds to the liver and wood, the right cheek corresponds to the lungs and metal, the forehead corresponds to the heart and fire, the nose corresponds to the spleen and earth, and the chin corresponds to the kidney and water.
