Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Padbury Brook, King's Bridge. This is Padbury Brook just upstream from King's Bridge in the direction of Steeple Claydon.

The source of Padbury Brook is to the west in Oxfordshire, north of Bicester. Just downstream, the brook is joined by Claydon Brook from the east, they are known locally as 'The Twins'. Padbury Brook then flows north-east in a wide and shallow valley past Padbury and Thornborough to join the Lovatt River, east of Buckingham, which is a tributary of the Great Ouse.

For much of their length both Padbury Brook and Claydon Brook mark parish boundaries. Most noticeably, the confluence of the brooks just to the north is the meeting point of the parishes of Hillesden, Padbury, and Steeple Claydon.

These watercourses are fed by a large number of tributary streams and ditches.

The course of the brook is very meandering and often hidden from view by trees along the river banks.
