Bahasa Indonesia: Tradisi Pacu Jawi atau balap sapi merupakan produk budaya masyarakat agraris Tanah Datar yang memiliki keunikan tersendiri. Pacu Jawi Tanah Datar berlangsung di lahan persawaan yang basah dan berlumpur. Peraturan dalam Pacu Jawi pun bukan soal kecepatan, melainkan dua ekor sapi yang mampu berlari lurus secara bersamaan. Hal ini sesuai dengan filosofi masyarakat setempat yang percaya bahwa pemimpin dan rakyat harus berjalan bersama. Saat ini Pacu Jawi telah terdaftar sebagai warisan budaya tak benda Indonesia dengan nomor registrasi 202001102. |
