| Description |
English: Puranpoli is a sweet flatbread stuffed with a sweet lentil filling made from husked spilt chana dal and jaggery. the stuffing is made from chana dal which are used and split black chickpeas also known as Bengal gram. The sweet element in the stuffing is jaggery which is an unrefined sugar that is made from sugarcane juice.
This puran poli recipe has spices like ground cardamom, ground fennel seeds, ground nutmeg and ground dry ginger added to the stuffing. The flat bread is also made from whole wheat flour atta and also purpose flour maida.
मराठी: महाराष्ट्राची आन बान आणि शान असलेली पुरणपोळी ही प्रत्येक सणाचे आकर्षण ! मऊसूत पूर्णपणे गच्च भरलेली सोनसळी रंगाची नाजूक किंचित जाडसर लाटलेली पोळी तव्यावर साजूक तुपात खमंग भाजली जाते ना तेव्हा त्या खरपूस सुवासाने घरातील कोपरा न कोपरा मंगलमय होऊन जातो! पुरणपोळी म्हणजेच आनंदोत्सव हे जणू समीकरण ठरलेलेच! |
