Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Subak adalah organisasi kemasyarakatan yang khusus mengatur sistem pengairan sawah (irigasi) yang digunakan dalam bercocok tanam padi di Bali, Indonesia. Kegiatan ritual pada subak dilaksanakan pada tingkat petani (pada lahan sawahnya masing-masing), pada tingkat subak (pada pura subak), dan pada pura-pura lain yang dianggap berkaitan dengan sumber air irigasi subak. Tujuan ritual yang dilaksanakan tersebut pada dasarnya adalah memohon kepada Tuhan agar usaha taninya dapat berhasil dengan baik.
