[edit]DescriptionPIROT BIRD (6050912637).jpg |
I prefer to arrived early at 6am, I am in the grassland at the back of Greencoil just to satisfy my craving for this tiny bird. Back in my childhood days in Catmon, I can still vividly recall that I once ask my mother what is the name of this very small bird with a very loud chirps. My mother answered its a Pirot. Now while roving the company premises, I heard that same chirps I heard 25 years ago. Now, armed with a telephoto lens, I am ducking patiently just to catch this small bird. Today is the second day I had a chance to have a photo of this bird. But still I am not satisfied with what I got today. I need a much closer shot. This bird is so elusive and you had to cover yourself to have a good shot. I wish that by tomorrow I can have a good shot for this. I want to have a photo of this bird on the grass, but when I stalked her, she noticed me and flew to the Electrical Wire. Why I like this bird? Because it has the ability to shoot vertically up to the air and upon reaching a great height, it will vertically shoot down, as if she is falling dead. But its just an art of flying, a helicopter pilot should envy. With my research from Romy Ocon a certified ornithologist, the scientific name for this Pirot Bird is Bright Capped Cisticola.
