Description
Italiano: Piazza Italia o Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II è la piazza centrale (di forma quadrata) dove si affacciano gli edifici principali della città di Reggio Calabria: Palazzo San Giorgio (sede del Comune), Palazzo Corrado Alvaro (Sede della Provincia), il Palazzo del Governo (sede della Prefettura) e Palazzo Melissari-Musitano (sede della banca UniCredit). Al centro sorge il monumento all'Italia da cui la piazza prende il nome.
English: Piazza Italia or Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II is the main central square, where the main buildings of the city of Reggio Calabria overlook on: Palazzo San Giorgio (The Town Hall), Palazzo Corrado Alvaro (Headquarters of the province), Palazzo del Governo (The Prefecture) and Palazzo Melissari-Musitano (UniCredit Bank). The Monument dedicated to Italy is in the main centre and the square take the name from it.
