[edit]DescriptionPHS Robotics 04 (32614385744).jpg | Hampton: Students at Phoebus High School in Hampton City Schools, are working on the 2015 FRC robot in class near the completion of the design/build season. Students work after school and weekends applying the concepts and skills, math, physics and engineering, that was taught in the traditional class setting to this project. The entire robot is designed in 3D CAD using Autodesk Inventor Professional. Many of the parts shown in this image were made by students on our CNC milling machine, lathe and various other manufacturing equiment. This robot won the Excellence in Engineering that year for the articulating suspension system that enabled the robot to bound over obstacles that blocked the way to the opponent's end of the field. |
