English: Fizi, South Kivu, DRC – In order to deal with attacks by Mai-Mai militia against civilians in Bibokoboko, in the territory of Fizi, MONUSCO reopened a temporary base in that locality, situated north of Baraka, in February 2022. A first base, opened in October 2021, had allowed for the return of more than 7,000 displaced persons, thanks to the reassuring presence of MONUSCO peacekeepers. Photo MONUSCO/Emmanuel Viret
