Description
English: Sailors assigned to the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) man the rails as the ship departs Huntington Ingalls shipyard in Pascagoula, Miss., for its maiden voyage. America is the first ship of its class, replacing the Tarawa-class of amphibious assault ships. The ship is scheduled to be commissioned Oct. 11, 2014, in San Francisco.
