Locklear, commander of U.S. Pacific Command located in Hawaii, visited Okinawa to meet with senior U.S. military representatives and thank service members for their efforts during Operation Damayan in the Republic of the Philippines. U.S. military relief efforts during Operation Damayan included approximately 2,748 flight hours, delivering a total of 2,495 tons of humanitarian assistance supplies, and successfully evacuating more than 21,000 people.
